Let’s meet at ONA18!

6 September 2018

Hiiihaaa! The annual Online News Association conference is taking us to the south this year! On 13, 14 and 15 September, the ONA will bring the brightest minds in digital journalism together to share innovative ideas and imagine what’s possible for the future. The conference will take place in Austin, Texas.

What’s ONA?

For those of you who have never heard of ONA before, or need a quick refresher: The Online News Association is a nonprofit membership organization for digital journalists regarding technology, innovation and, of course, journalism. It was founded in 1999 and is the world’s largest association of its kind. They present the Online Journalism Awards and host the annual Online News Association (ONA) conference. If this will be your first time visiting the ONA, you can take part in a practical First-Timers’ Orientation. You’ll get tips on how to navigate the conference offerings and get the most out of your ONA18 experience.

Why ONA?

There’s no better place than the Online News Association’s annual conference to learn about the latest digital trends from industry leaders, test new tools and connect with peers to share your work. Maps4News will be present at the conference to give you a demo, present our latest features and answer all your questions. We will also take a deep dive into map related topics that are important to the ONA community. Join us at ONA for inspiring conversations about the latest trends and best practices in digital media, unparalleled networking with influencers and emerging talent, opportunities to explore new tools and tech in our interactive Midway and much more!

Come visit Maps4News in the Midway on Level 3, or interact with our speaker Steve Gallien at the Midway sessions Friday 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (301+302)
